Hallowe’en at the Dojos

DOUVRIS members and their friends are welcome to start their trick-or-treating with us! See below for details about Hallowe’en events at Westboro, Bank Street, OAC, Kanata, Aylmer, and Kemptville dojos:

Westboro

Westboro dojo will celebrate Hallowe’en with members only on Friday, October 24 from 6:15-10:00pm. There will be fun karate and games, music and a dance party, pizza and treats and movie. Costumes are optional.

Note that classes are cancelled at Westboro on Friday, October 31.

Bank Street, OAC, and Kanata

October 31st classes will be cancelled at Bank Street, OAC, Kemptville, and Kanata dojos in lieu of Hallowe’en Open Houses.

  • Friday, October 31, 5:00-7:00pm – Bank St. & OAC
  • Friday, October 31, 5:15-7:15pm – Kanata/Stittsville

Wear your costumes (gis don’t count!) and bring friends and siblings for these activities:

  • Street-proofing info session
  • Candy to get your treat bag started
  • Fun activities in the dojo

Note that Team Training will proceed at Bank Street and OAC dojos, but is rescheduled for this day only, to 7:00pm-8:00pm.

7:15pm Weapons Training  at Kanata is cancelled this day.

Saturday, November 1 Buddy Day

Bank Street, OAC, and Kanata dojos will also be offering monthly Buddy Days, starting on Saturday, November 1. Thereafter, the last Saturday of every month DOUVRIS members (Karate, Fitness, and all ages) are welcome to bring a friend to class for free.

November 1st edition will be a special Hallowe’en Buddy Day where kids can wear their Hallowe’en costumes to class.

Even better, you could win your membership dues for a full year! If your friend signs up for a year membership at your location you’ll be entered to win FREE membership dues for one year.

Aylmer Hallowe’en Party

The Aylmer dojo’s Hallowe’en Party will be held on Friday, October 24 from 6:00-8:00pm. Aylmer members can hang out at the dojo with costumes and enjoy games, prizes, costume contests, and a Haunted House…. If You Dare!!!!

Kemptville Hallowe’en Party

Kemptville’s Hallowe’en party will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 2:00-4:00pm. Open to students and their siblings, the open house will include:

  • Costume prizes (no gis, please)
  • Games
  • Hallowe’en decorating contest – bring your best home-made decoration, help create our own graveyard or carved pumpkin…
