Hello Douvris Community, 

We hope you are all training hard from home and enjoying your online dojo experience. We are happy to announce that we have plans to open in-person classes on Monday, June 22nd! We are excited to get you all back in the dojo. Please email us at info@douvris.com to make a phone appointment with Vania or Kay to resume your membership at Douvris Martial Arts and Fitness. Our phone lines are now open, 613-234-5000.

As we are still following social distancing guidelines, we will be asking our members to pre-register for classes through our online member management system: Rhinofit. Once you resume your membership, you will receive instructions regarding class registration. Pre-registration will allow us to keep regulated class sizes based on community guidelines and allow us to predict the number of people entering the building at any given time.

In the event that you are not comfortable attending in person classes at this time, we will still be hosting a zoom call each night in the dojo so you can tune in at the time of your class and follow along from home.

While there are still strong social distancing rules in place, we ask that one parent drop off and pick up students from the dojo. We will be limiting the number of people in the lounge, so there is no guarantee that you will be able to come inside of the building. Parents who want to watch class can do so via the zoom call. We will do our best to make everyone comfortable, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Note on Masks:We wanted to update you on recent Public Health information on face masks. Masks are mandatory in situations where social distancing is not possible (2 meters). While you are inside the dojo exercising and maintaining your social distance, you are not required to wear a mask as it inhibits respiration.

However, if you are in the lobby or hallways leaving class and cannot maintain a 2 meter distance, you will be required to wear a mask. We ask that you have one on hand with you when you arrive just in case and encourage you to bring a ziplock bag to store it during class.
